We, that is the company fjord-e-design GmbH, work with protocol software and measuring technology for the entire area of digital mobile communication.

We developed from a project team at the Flensburg University of Applied Science (Institute of Communication Technology). During different projects we came up with the idea to create our own company. This was realized at the beginning of 2000 when we founded fjord-e-design GmbH.

Since then we have been working closely with the original clients and also with additional clients and have finished many projects.

Our company employs only engineers and specialists from the core areas telecommunications and technical computer science. Based on this enormous concentration of know how and specialized knowledge we are able to cover the global requirement spectrum of hardware and software for digital mobile communication. Furthermore, we still are in very close scientific cooperation with the "Project Center for Mobile Communication" at the Flensburg University of Applied Science (Prof. Dr. rer. Nat. T. Aschmoneit). During our work we have developed and maintained many national and international contacts.

For the development of the complex software for this industry, e.g. for mobile and base stations, we have created software tools, which are based on SDL. These tools generate C and JAVA code which contains no unnecessary elements. In addition, we are able to use an in-house Scheduler for the requirements of (mobile) digital systems. Extremely optimized algorithms for channel coding are available and we have marketed a complete TETRA mobile station stack as well as several complex measuring tools, which were developed by our company.

We base development on special quality requirements for test and development (V model, etc.) and we supply a special structure, clearness and documentation.
